Waterfalls, rapids and caves are not something you think about being in Florida, but all three are there. This post is about the cave system in Florida Caverns State Park in northern Florida, near the Alabama border. We will post about the highest waterfall and class 3 rapids in Florida in the future. If you are in the area you should stop and see the caves. To go into the caverns you have to take a guided tour.

The cave has stalagmites, stalactites and columns like caves in other states. There are also blind cave crayfish, cave salamanders and bats in the cave, but I was not able to catch any on camera.

Some parts of the caves were lit up in different colors.

The tour costs $16 and last about an hour. There are no reservations for the tour. Also make sure you visit the Florida Caverns State Park website before going, for latest updates and days that the cave is closed.
