A new intermediate biking trail in the Uintas, near the start of Mirror Lake Highway. It's under 6 miles long and climbs less than 800 ft.

2026 Update: This was the first mountain bike specific trail built along Mirror Lake Highway in the western Uintas near Kamas, Utah. It is a directional loop trail. The downhill half is a technical trail with rock gardens and logs to navigate through.
The uphill portion now is also used to climb up to the start of Left Hand Loop trail. The Left Hand Loop trail climbs up a few hundred more feet before becoming a smoother flow trail that goes into White Fir trail or the Left Hand Inner Loop that takes you back to the top of Slate Creek trail. These newer trails give you options to make multiple loops.
You start at the Yellow Pine trailhead, just past Samak and the last trailhead without a parking fee along Mirror Lake Highway. The older Yellow Pine trail is open to bikes, but gets steep and rough within a couple of miles; it is more of a hiking trail. The road does not close in winter this low, so you can snowshoe it when there is enough snow and the avalanche conditions are safe.
The video was taken using the GoPro Hero 6 so there is more shaking than on our more recent videos.
